Dave Leno is a sportscaster based in the Philadelphia area. A versatile play by play announcer and host, Leno broadcasts select nationally televised college basketball and football games with ESPN. He's in the midst of his 5th season with Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union as part of the club's TV broadcast crew. Dave co-hosts pre/half/postgame shows and calls play by play of Union games on 6abc and PHL17 in the Philly TV Market. He also broadcasts radio play by play of Union games, including the 2020 MLS Playoffs. 

 

Dave enters his second season as TV play by play announcer for the New York Riptide of the National Lacrosse League. His lacrosse broadcasts air on MSG Networks and B/R Live.  

With respect to tennis, Leno is an on-court announcer at Philadelphia Freedoms and New York Empire World Team Tennis home matches in the summers. For the 2020 season, he announced all 66 matches in 22 days at The Greenbrier in White Suplhur Springs, WV. Dave also works the US OPEN Tennis Championships as a World Feed Commentator. This year, Dave was a radio play by play announcer at the Open with his calls airing on SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, ATP Radio and the US OPEN App. In prior years, he was the lead highlights announcer throughout the whole Grandslam while select matches on TV play by play. 

Each year, Dave broadcasts several USA Field Hockey matches on local TV, covering the women's national team. In Feb 2019, the International Hockey Federation tabbed Dave to broadcast all US-based matches in the new Pro League. 

Leno got his start on National TV at 21-years-old on Big Ten Network. Soon after, he called games on TV with Comcast Sports Southeast, One World Sports and BTN in addition to being the Voice of several minor league teams.

- Select NBADL games for Delaware 87ers; 
- Full Season of Arena League Football play by play and coaches' shows on commercial radio;
- US OPEN Tennis Championships on radio for two Grandslams in 2013 & '14; 
- College Volleyball Championship and Basketball Telecasts with Comcast Sports Southeast.
